Elise is a Biomedical Engineer, entrepreneur, speaker and women in STEM advocate. Elise is highly awarded for her career in medical devices and the start-up field, including being the grand prize winner of Med Tech's Got Talent, a national MedTech start-up competition. Elise is passionate about improving health outcomes for patients and the role that innovation and technology plays in the future of healthcare.
Elise is the Founder, CEO and Director of medical device start-up Stelect, which was born out of The University of Melbourne’s BioDesign Innovation Program. Elise undertook the course in 2017, and Stelect was formally formed in November of 2017, a business revolving around improving stent selection and accurate placement in interventional cardiology procedures.
Elise is a strong leader and an innovative and strategic thinker who has successfully taken an idea into a venture backed business creating impactful technical innovation with a large-scale commercial impact.
